We begin with the first bill of the 1st Session of the 111th Congress – H.R.1. There has been much discussion of the need for a stimulus package to revive the flailing U.S. economy. Drafted by House Democrats the purpose of the bill is described to be for:

This bill is also known as the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009”
